The second BIBA Forum 2022 webinar took place on 29th March. Junior and senior students from all universities of the Arqus Alliance discussed the biodiversity and geodiversity of our era. The speakers were Antonio Azor-Pérez (University of Granada) and Arunas Samas (Vilnus University). Blanca Delgado-Márquez, from the University of Granada, was the organiser and moderator of the session.

Participants of this session are now invited to take part in the second call for short stories of the Arqus Alliance. Factors such as population growth, demand for resources and climate change are forcing us to rethink the way we live and relate to our environment. Despite this, nature offers numerous solutions to today's societal challenges. Now is the turn of students to take action and write on the subject: how could we build a society in which nature is part of its definition?

Nature offers a high number of solutions to today’s societal problems. A lot of organisations that work all over the world are already using the Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) as a new approach in a transdisciplinary way. The aim of the NBS is to build resilience, prosperity and health in our societies. NBS is a new concept that encircles all actions that rely on ecosystems and the services provided to respond to some of the societal challenges such as climate change, food security or disaster risk.

Participants who want to participate should focus on this subtheme: How could we build a society in which nature is part of its definition?

The story can be written in English or in the mother tongue of the participants and it should be no more than 100 words.
